Time extensions (time change orders)
Time change orders add a Days field to change orders and a Duration to contracts. Use them to track schedule impacts, including no-charge time extensions, alongside cost changes.
Turn on time change orders
Section titled “Turn on time change orders”- Go to Left menu → Settings.
- On the project row, open the pencil menu and click Update Project.
- Turn on Time Change Orders.
- Click Update.
Time Change Orders is off by default and is set per project.
What changes on change orders
Section titled “What changes on change orders”- The change order form shows Days next to Amount.
- Amount becomes optional, so you can save a no-charge time extension with Days only. A blank amount is saved as $0.
- Days appears on the Change Orders list, on the change order table inside each contract, on the review panel, and in the PDF export.
What changes on contracts
Section titled “What changes on contracts”- The contract form shows Duration (in days).
- Existing contracts show read-only Approved CO Days and Revised Duration.
- The Contracts list adds Duration, Approved CO (days), and Revised Duration columns. They’re also in the CSV and PDF exports.
Revised Duration = Duration + days from approved change orders. Days on pending change orders are reported separately and aren’t included.
Record a no-charge time extension
Section titled “Record a no-charge time extension”- Create a change order linked to the contract.
- Leave Amount blank.
- Enter the number of Days.
- Set the status to Approved when it’s accepted.
The contract’s Revised Duration updates automatically.

Do pending change orders extend the contract duration?
Section titled “Do pending change orders extend the contract duration?”No. Only days from approved change orders are added to Revised Duration. Pending days are tracked separately.
