Drawings in SubmittalLink

The Drawings module stores your project’s PDF plan sets in folders, one record per sheet with its drawing number and revision. Everyone on the project works from the current set, and you can link markups to RFIs, submittals, punch list items, and photos.

Shop drawings from subcontractors aren’t stored here. Send them for review as submittals.

Who can do this

Everyone on the project can open Drawings, create folders, add drawings, and use AI Bulk Upload. Only owners and project managers can delete drawings or folders.

Drawing folders

Go to Left menu → Drawings. You’ll see your drawing folders, for example Architectural, Structural, MEP, or Bid Set.

• Create Folder: add a new folder.
• Update: rename a folder.
• Delete: remove a folder (owner and project manager).
• Download: choose Latest Revisions Only or All Revisions to download the folder.
• Mail icon: notify project users about the folder.

Drawings in a folder

Click a folder to see its drawings. Each drawing shows its Drawing Number, Title, Revision Date, and Revision Title.

• Add Drawing: upload one drawing manually.
• AI Bulk Upload: upload full PDF plan sets. AI splits them into sheets and reads each title block for the drawing number, title, and revision details.
• Export PDF: export the drawing list.
• Merge & Download: combine drawings into one PDF.
• Show Latest Revisions Only (on by default): show only the newest revision of each drawing number.
• Row actions: Preview, Update, Delete.

Frequently asked questions

How do I see only the current drawing set?

Show Latest Revisions Only is on by default in each folder. It shows the sheet with the newest revision date for each drawing number. To download only current sheets, choose Download → Latest Revisions Only from the folder list.

Can subcontractors upload drawings?

Yes. Every project member can add drawings and create folders. Only owners and project managers can delete them.

Can I download all drawings at once?

Yes. From the folder list, use Download → Latest Revisions Only or All Revisions. Inside a folder, use Merge & Download to combine drawings into one PDF.

Does SubmittalLink email the team when drawings are uploaded?

Use the mail icon on a folder to notify project users. Drawing upload notifications can still be sent when the project has Turn Off All Email Notifications enabled.
