Create a project
A project holds all of a job’s submittals, RFIs, drawings, and other records. Each project has its own team, settings, and data.
Create a project
Section titled “Create a project”- Click Create Project (or Create New Project).
- Enter a Project Name (required) and an optional Description.
- Click Create Project.
The new project becomes the active project in the project selector at the top of the left menu. You’re its owner.
Set up your project
Section titled “Set up your project”After you create the project, work through these steps:
- Add the site address and company details. Go to Settings → project row → pencil menu → Update Project. See Project settings.
- Choose your RFI workflow. Parallel is the default. See Parallel vs. sequential RFIs.
- Add vendors. Add the companies on the job so you can assign users to them. See Vendors.
- Invite your team. See Users and invitations.
- Add spec sections. Add them manually or copy them from another project. See Spec sections.
- Upload drawings. See Upload drawings.
Switch between projects
Section titled “Switch between projects”Use the project selector at the top of the left menu. Every module shows data for the selected project only.
Frequently asked questions
Section titled “Frequently asked questions”Who can change a project’s settings?
Section titled “Who can change a project’s settings?”Only the project owner. Project managers can manage users, vendors, and spec sections, but can’t edit project settings.
Can I copy spec sections from an old project?
Section titled “Can I copy spec sections from an old project?”Yes. Go to Project Setup → Spec Sections → Copy from Project. See Spec sections.
