Upload drawings (manual and AI Bulk Upload)

You can add drawings one at a time, or upload full PDF plan sets with AI Bulk Upload. AI Bulk Upload splits the set into sheets and reads each title block to fill in the drawing details for you.

Who can do this

Upload a full plan set with AI Bulk Upload

1. Go to Left menu → Drawings and open a folder.
2. Click AI Bulk Upload.
3. Drag in your PDF plan sets.
4. Click Process with AI.

SubmittalLink processes the files in the background:

1. It splits each multi-page PDF into individual sheets.
2. It reads each sheet’s title block with image recognition and fills in the Drawing Number, Title, Revision Title, and Revision Date.

The drawings appear in the folder when processing finishes.

Check the results

AI can make mistakes. Spot-check the drawing numbers, titles, and revision details after processing, and use Update to fix any errors.

Add a single drawing

1. Open a folder and click Add Drawing.
2. Upload the drawing PDF (click or drag).
3. Enter the Title, Drawing Number, Revision Date, and Revision Title.
4. Click Create Drawing.

Add a new revision

Upload the new sheet to the same folder with the same drawing number and a newer Revision Date. SubmittalLink groups sheets by drawing number and treats the one with the newest revision date as current.

Show Latest Revisions Only is on by default, so the folder shows only current sheets. Uncheck it to see the full revision history.
