Submittals in SubmittalLink
A submittal is a package of product data, shop drawings, samples, or other information that a contractor sends to the design team for review and approval before buying or installing materials. SubmittalLink tracks every submittal in a project’s submittal log. It routes each one through review steps and always shows who’s responsible for the next action.

How submittals work in SubmittalLink
Section titled “How submittals work in SubmittalLink”- An owner or project manager creates a submittal with attachments, a spec section, a due date, and one or more review steps.
- Reviewers on the first step get an email. The submittal is now in their court.
- When a reviewer responds (Approved, Approved as Noted, Revise and Resubmit, and so on), the submittal moves to the next step. See Review workflow and ball in court.
- After the last step, ball in court returns to the submittal manager, who closes the submittal or creates a revision.
