Daily reports

A daily report (also called a daily log or superintendent’s report) records what happened on site each day: who was there, what was delivered, the weather, and any issues. SubmittalLink fills in the weather automatically and turns any day or date range into a PDF.

  1. Go to Left menu → Daily Reports.
  2. Choose Day and pick the date.
  3. Enter the site details:
    • Site Hours From and Site Hours To (for example 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM)
    • Temperature and Condition (Sunny, Cloudy, Windy, Rainy, Snowy, Stormy)
  4. Add entries to each section:
    • Crew: crews on site
    • Attachments: site photos and files
    • Visitors
    • Deliveries
    • Meetings
    • Notes
  5. Save as prompted on the page.

When the project has a site address with a US ZIP code, UK postcode, or Ireland Eircode, SubmittalLink fills in Temperature and Condition from that day’s weather when the report is created. You can edit either field.

Temperature shows in °F for US projects and °C for UK and Ireland projects. Set the site address in project settings.

Save time when the crew and conditions are similar:

  1. Open the day you want to fill in.
  2. Click Copy From.
  3. Choose the source report and click Copy.
  1. Choose Day or Range and select the dates.
  2. Wait for the data to load.
  3. Click Generate PDF. The PDF opens in a new tab or downloads.

Click All Photos to browse the photos attached to your daily reports.
