Email notifications
This page lists every email SubmittalLink sends, who receives it, and the settings that control it.
Three levels of control
Section titled “Three levels of control”- Per item: the Email Notifications switch on create, update, and review forms, and the … and Send Emails buttons.
- Per project: toggles the project owner sets in project settings.
- On demand: Notify Users on a list row, or the mail icon on drawings and documents.
There’s no personal notification preferences page.
Who receives what

Turn Off All Email Notifications
Section titled “Turn Off All Email Notifications”The project owner can turn on Turn Off All Email Notifications to stop most notification emails on a project, including submittal and RFI emails and reminders. These still send:
- Login codes
- Drawing upload notifications
- Custom report emails
Reminder schedule
Section titled “Reminder schedule”Submittal and RFI reminders go out on the due date and again two days after it. To change the number or frequency of reminders, contact your SubmittalLink account representative or support@submittallink.com.
Skip weekend reminders
Section titled “Skip weekend reminders”Do Not Send Reminder Emails on Weekends skips RFI and submittal reminder emails on Saturday and Sunday.
Emails going to spam?
Section titled “Emails going to spam?”Ask recipients to mark a SubmittalLink email Not Spam, and ask your IT team to allow email from submittallink.com. See Troubleshooting.
Frequently asked questions
Section titled “Frequently asked questions”Can I turn off emails just for myself?
Section titled “Can I turn off emails just for myself?”No. There’s no personal notification preferences page. The project owner controls project email settings, and whoever creates an item controls its Email Notifications switch.
Why didn’t an email send when I created an item?
Section titled “Why didn’t an email send when I created an item?”Common reasons: the item is in Draft status, Email Notifications was off, or the project has Turn Off All Email Notifications enabled.
Do reminders go out on weekends?
Section titled “Do reminders go out on weekends?”Yes, unless the project owner turns on Do Not Send Reminder Emails on Weekends.
